Sean Comb is a successful hip-hop rap artist whose not only produced largest selling records, but he also won Grammy Awards many times and also has become a record producer himself. Presently, his recording company represents eminent artists and musicians of the genre.
He is known as Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs among music lovers while his given name is Sean John Combs. He has a canny eye for clothing and designing and was not much satisfied with contemporary sportswear so he decided to open his own sportswear company and design for it. The launch of his designs came out in 1998 and since then he has not looked back.
His annual sales have crossed the 100 Million Dollars mark and many times he has been selected for introducing new and eye-catching designs. He is a regular invitee to the Award Ceremony of designers of America named CFDA. His designs are so good that they have been nominated to receive the coveted award for five successive years. He got the coveted award for the fashion he produced in the year 2004. His live show Fashion Week was televised nationally in the USA in 2001; running both on Style Network and E Television simultaneously. New York Times was so impressed about his clothing designs that they published an entire front page article on Sean John.
Sean John’s ventures continue; he purchased hefty share in 2004 in Zac Posen, the haute couture for gentry especially for red carpet people. Sean John made famous Dawn Robertson president of his company and later in the same year they took over the sportswear entity EnYCe from Liz Clairborne.
Soon thereafter Sean John launched their perfume I Am King and replaced his billboard at Times Square with this new brand billboard, which is, incidentally, the largest print billboard in Times Square.
Nowadays Sean John enjoys an ace celebrity status in the USA. And is now issuing not only sports clothing, formal dresses, leisure dresses, formal dresses, life style dressing, high couture, accessories, ties, eyewear, footwear and of course perfumes.
His perfumes are produced in collaboration with an Estee Lauder company name M.A.C. Till date, 10 of his perfumes have been launched and enjoyed all around success. Karyn Khoury, Caroline Sabas, IFF, Aurelien Guichard, Trudi Loren, Pierre Negrin and David Apel are the perfumists behind production of these stylish fragrances.
Unforgivable was the first perfume coming out of the house of Sean John and enjoyed great success. This aromatic perfume is meant for men and is constructed with some of the most liked notes blended together subtly that it was awarded Fifi best perfume of the year 2007 by Luxe.
The house issued Unforgivable Multi Platinum in 2007. This masculine fragrance was regarded as more subtle, more citrusy, and more elegant than the first Unforgivable, a scent that is very compromising and a citrusy aromatic one.
2007 also witnessed the launch of Unforgivable Women Sean John for Women by the house. This floral oriental fragrance is like his other perfumes and became most adored among women.
In 2008 Sean John brought out two fragrances namely I Am King and Unforgivable Women Black. Both of these perfumes bear the trademark qualities of the house as very high class, subtle and elegant. I Am King is a perfume that brings out a personalization in men with its manly essence, whereas Unforgivable Women Black is totally feminine in the house’s style and substance. Unforgivable Black for Men was also launched in the same year.
In 2009 they brought out I Am King of the Night and Unforgivable Night both for Men to be followed in 2011 by I Am King of Miami for men & Empress for women.
